The Plainfield Optimist Club annually "adopts" a needy family during the Christmas season. With the assistance of the Guilford Township Trustee, a needy family is identified. The Club contacts that family, finds out specific needs, and then makes sure the children receive at least one item of clothing and a gift, and that the family is provided with food.
