A Message from Governor Sandi

It is time for you to plan for the 3rd District Conference to be held at the Hampton Inn in Greensburg, In. The LDC committee has met and set the agenda for the conference. A Registration form and Agenda are included in this mailing. Please make copies and distribute to your club members.

The District team would like to see new faces and hear new ideas on how to Give of yourself – For the Kids.

Below are items to note:

1. Make note of the early deadline - March 23rd – to make your reservations with the hotel.

2. The Lt. Governors for the 2010-2011 Optimist year are to be elected at this meeting. Please plan to attend or have a representative from your club there to cast the vote for the person your club would like to represent your zone.

3. The Hampton Inn does not have a restaurant, but a continental breakfast is included with your room. At lunch, your LDC committee has planned a picnic to be shared with our young oratorical and essay contestants. Box lunches will be provided, which will greatly reduce your normal lunch expense.


Other reasons to attend this conference:

1. Hear and support the Oratorical finalists.

2. Hear the winning essays.

3. Learn how to use the internet to gain Optimist information for both the Indiana South District and Optimist International.

4. Help put the puzzle together for the Optimist year 2010-2011.
