Indiana South District Vision Statement  
 

Indiana South District Optimist Clubs shall be known in all communities in Southern Indiana as the civic organization that do amazing things to provide hope and positive vision to “Bring Out The Best In Kids”.

  
     
Mission Statement  
  To achieve the vision of the Indiana South District with recruitment, personal development, training, building new clubs in every schools district. Provide meaningful activities and programs to develop our members, the youth and our communities.  
     
Core Values  
  Our Values are reflected in the tenets of the Optimist Creed.  
     
2007-2008 Goals and Objectives  
 

To increase the number of Optimist Clubs in Indiana South by five

To educate and train for NCB outside of district meetings and build in areas designated by our Lt. Governors, in their zones

To increase the number of JOOI Clubs in Indiana South by five

To increase membership retention by five percent

To empower Leadership Development to provide training for future leaders

To implement roundtable discussions at district meetings

To improve participation of the membership at district meetings

To introduce Tri Star Soccer, Tri Star Golf and Youth Mentoring to the Indiana South District

To increase the level of participation of PGI by thirty percent

To increase club strength through communications and personal visitation by district leaders

To serve the youth of Optimist International and the Indiana South district through generosity and personal service regardless of race, creed, sex or financial worth

To believe in each other and each other’s goals in life
